Dutch Fork wins 5A State Championship in high school football

Dutch Fork became the State Champion in 5A High School football Saturday with a 28-27 win over Dorman.

Dutch Fork stopped Dorman’s two-point conversion attempt with 19 seconds left to play in the game to secure the win.

Dutch Fork’s Ron Hoff scored a touchdown on a 4-yard run and he scored another on a two-yard run.  Both of Hoff’s TDs were scored in the second quarter. The Ford Williams’ PAT kicks were good.

In the third quarter, the Silver Foxes’ Bryce Thompson broke off a 72-yard run for a TD.  in the fourth quarter Thompson scored another touchdown  on a 25-yard run. All of Williams’ kicks were good.

Dutch Fork quarterback Ty Olenchuk was 11-for-21 for 115 yards.  Hoff had 188 yards rushing and Thompson had 136 yards rushing.
