BI-LO grocery donating 150 USC vs Wofford football tickets to veterans and families

BI-LO is donating 150 University of South Carolina football tickets to veterans and families of United Service Organizations (USO) – South Carolina chapter. Veterans and their families will attend the Nov. 18 game versus Wofford. A giveaway event was held Monday at the Jerri and Steve Spurrier Indoor Practice Facility at USC.

Southeastern Grocers (SEG), parent company of BI-LO, will also recognize active military and veterans with 10 percent discount on qualifying grocery purchases this Veteran’s Day.

The mission of the SEG All for Honor campaign is to thank the brave men and women who have served in the military. The community ticket donation and partnership with USO is aimed to continue the company’s support for veterans with collegiate partners.

We are thrilled to have partners like BI-LO and the University of South Carolina to help us fulfill our mission of connecting service members to family, home and country,” said Joanie Thresher, Director of USO South Carolina. “BI-LO and USC are truly a Force Behind the Forces, and helping to strengthen our nation’s service members!”

We remain committed to supporting our veterans and their families,” said Jim Williams, District Manager for BI-LO. “It is an honor to be able to offer our appreciation to our nation’s heroes with an exciting visit to the college and a football game experience to cheer on the USC Gamecocks!”

Over the years, BI-LO has been a tremendous partner of the University of South Carolina Athletics Department, engaging their customers with opportunities to attend Gamecock sporting events,” said Ray Tanner, Athletic Director for University of South Carolina. “We are appreciative of BI-LO’s efforts to provide opportunities like this to veterans and current military families as part of our Military Appreciation Game.”
