The Palmetto Base of the US Submarine Veterans will conduct its annual Gibbs Memorial at 1 p.m. on Nov. 5 in the church cemetery of the St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, 119 Church St., Lexington.

On the morning of Nov. 10, the Palmetto Base of the submarine veterans will participate in the Columbia Veterans Day Parade. And at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 10, the veterans will conduct a tolling of the boats ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park WWII U. S. Navy Memorial in Columbia to honor all WWII submarines and crews that gave their lives to protect this great nation.
