Lowes Foods will open a second store in Lexington, according to a company release.
The new store will be off at Hope Ferry Road and Sunset Boulevard ( U.S. 378.) The opening day celebration is scheduled for July 21.

Lowes opened its first Lexington store on May 24 at Charter Oak Road and Augusta Road. Lowes plans to open a third store at 4711 Forest Drive in Forest Acres in mid-2018.

“We thank the people of Lexington for the very warm welcome we have received at our first location, and we look forward to our next store opening,” Lowes Foods president Tim Lowe said. “When we open a store, we want to do more than just sell groceries, we want to be a part of the community. We want to help schools with and support local farmers and producers by helping them grow their business.”

The Hope Ferry Road store will be like the first store. It includes Lowes Foods Originals such as the Community Table, The Beer Den, SausageWorks, The Cakery, Bread Crumb, Smokehouse, Sammy’s, The Chicken Kitchen and Pick & Prep. The second location will not include a fuel center.

Both Lexington stores will feature Lowes Foods to Go, an online ordering service, according to the release.
