Beer festival to be first event in newest Lexington venue

The Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center leaders plan to unveil the town of Lexington’s latest project with a bang … and a brew.

The chamber will host the Lexington Craft Beerfest on Oct. 15 to celebrated the grand opening of the Icehouse Amphitheater. The beer festival will kick off at 6 p.m. and will feature regional craft beer, food from local restaurants and live music from 20 RIDE.

Tickets are $30 and include entry into the festival and beer samples. Food tickets will be available for purchase at the festival.

The Icehouse Amphitheater is the latest project to be completed under the town of Lexington Vision Plan. Otis Rawl, president and CEO of the chamber, said the venue is a much-needed asset in the community.

“Envisioning this new, 900-seat venue full of residents and visitors during the Lexington Craft Beerfest makes me excited to live in Lexington,” Rawl said. “The Icehouse Amphitheater is the first of many developments that will bring life and thriving business to the downtown area and throughout our community.”
