Domestic violence suspect wanted by Lexington Police
The Lexington Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a man accused of injuring a woman and child at their home.
Jose Luise Ortiz, 22, of Columbia, is wanted on multiple charges following an Aug. 24 incident. He is accused of assaulting a female acquaintance. The woman and a child she was holding at the time suffered unspecified injuries. Ortiz allegedly forced entry into the woman’s residence during the incident.
Warrants for criminal domestic violence, child endangerment and burglary have been issued.
Officials think Ortiz is being sheltered by family members near his last known address of 7414 Claudia Drive in Columbia.
Anyone who has information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the Lexington Police Department at 359-6260 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIMESC. Tips that lead to the arrest of the suspect are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000 even when submitted anonymously.
